Ptydepe

I could have rather named the post as ‘The Memorandum’, my first ever play watched at a theatre which is completely meant for plays.  But the name ‘Ptydepe’ sounded fancier, and hence chosen. Pronounced as Pa-tie-de-pay, when given the pamphlet I read it as ‘tie-deep-a’, assuming P as silent. From past one year, my attempt to go and watch a play at Rangashankara was completely futile after rigorous attempts. First time- It was a list of Hindi plays! Second time- Tickets sold out The third time-It was Mysooru Mallige…The name was like a repellent used for mosquitoes, here replacing the mosquitoes, were my friends. It’s difficult to find a theatre enthuse , when u have a bunch of only engineering graduates in your G-gang. I would anytime go for a diverse range (no offence to the present ones). Planning with these people for a play , was like asking yeddyurappa to quit as CM. After this I always pictured myself goin...

The curious case of a Wandering mind

My mind kept drifting away. I was trying hard to sit and concentrate. I was fidgeting. It’s so difficult to make yourself to sit and listen to something which you are actually forced to listen to , something which you have to listen  to , and for something which you don’t want to listen , that too for 4 hours without a break.              Just the previous day I was conversing with my friend as to how she sits and concentrates at her CA classes for like 9 hours at a stretch! It’s so hard.   So after this conversation with her , the next day while I was sitting at a session , I decided to keep a track of how many times my mind keeps wandering away like in an hour. More than listening to what was happening in the session , I was keeping track of the numbers , and how it kept increasing an increment of one every five minutes. (Yes really short).             Here is the l...

Almost proselytized!

Was actually trying to figure out what the right word was! Yes, Proselytize it is! Yes  that's what exactly happened to me over the weekend when i decided to go on a photography spree all by myself.             5.30 am it was, when i suddenly woke up and decided to go out for  a walk in lalbagh.  The weather was perfect, partially drizzling, beautiful it was  , Until the drizzles turned into thick drops of rain. That dint stop me, I put on my tracks and  came out and the clouds started to clear. I was glad, cause my day had just begin!             I woke my friend early in the morning( and i was cursed for being disturbed!)  and borrowed his camera ,and set out on my mission. Its not like Im a photographer, just an amateur.             I reached lalbagh  and it was half past 6, i climbed the hill and fix...
